The
Ivey Experience
For over 80
years, Ivey has been delivering an interactive and challenging
learning experience for executives. An experience that builds
on existing skills and develops new perspectives. The Ivey approach
views business issues and opportunities in a strategic context
and examines their impact on the whole organization. It will
develop your ability to turn information into options and options
into decisions.
Ivey's
Global Reach
Ivey has set itself
as a global academic institution since our establishment 86
years ago. With this focus in mind, Ivey was the first North
American Business School to set up a permanent facility in Asia.
Ivey's degree programs are now delivered through five campuses,
with Executive Education Programs offered Worldwide.
Ivey has 30,000 alumni worldwide; with an expanding network
of global academic and corporate partners. Ivey professors are
visiting professors in many countries and have held positions
teaching other professors how to use and teach with cases. An
example of this is Beijing's prestigious Tsinghua University,
where Ivey has been teaching since 1985; and Shanghai Fudan
University since 1986.
The
Asian Management Institute
The
Asian Management Institute is a department within Ivey Canada
that is dedicated to the development and dissemination of Ivey's
award-winning cases. Ivey is currently the No. 1 Asian case
producer in the World, with around 500 current Asian cases in
our database. AMI also seeks quality real life business problems
for turning into winning teaching cases, written by our professors
and case writers. Ivey is also a five-time winner of the prestigiousl
Asian Case Competition sponsored by The American Chamber of
Commerce in Hong Kong. More information on AMI can be found

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, September 21st,1998. Dr. Henry
Cheng, Dr. Cheng Yu Tung and Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee
Hwa |
The University of Western Ontario's
Richard Ivey School of Business was the first North American
business school to establish a campus in Asia, called The
Cheng Yu Tung Management Institute. Dr. Cheng sought
to complement the existing education programs in Hong Kong
and China with an international MBA program, ambitious teaching
materials development, and a state-of-the-art facility. Ivey
answered. Together with his alma mater, Dr. Cheng established
the Cheng Yu Tung Management Institute to honor his father's
commitment to education.
The Institute, located at the prestigious
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, is a superb international
learning facility specially designed to meet the exacting
standards of the Ivey's programs. Officially opened in September
1998 by Mr. Tung Chee Hwa, the ex-HKSAR Chief Executive, the
Institute provides organizations with a new resource for high
quality and interactive training.
The Asian campus completed its expansion
in August 2005 to answer the growing demand for our Degree
and Non Degree programs. The completed facility has 2 case
teaching classrooms with 100 capacity in total and 11 breakout
rooms (a 100% increase from previous set-up) - this facility
continues to be dedicated entirely to Ivey participants.
