FINANCING OPTIONS — SELF-SPONSORSHIPS AND LOANS

Most applicants choose to pay for the program personally, either in part or in full. If self-sponsorship is pursued, there are three points to remember.

  • You may claim deductions for expenses of self-education for enrolling in Ivey’s EMBA in Hong Kong. More on this can be found here: http://www.gov.hk
  • Ivey’s EMBA in Hong Kong is an eligible course provider under the HKSAR Government's Non-Means Tested Loan Scheme. Under this scheme, HK permanent residents and those who have lived in HK continuously for three years before they start their EMBA, may borrow funds to cover their tuitions 100% without having their income or credits checked. Repayment can be spread over 10 years after graduation, with an interest rate below prime. More information may be found here: http://www.sfaa.gov.hk
  • The Ivey Business School provides a variety of scholarships and grants to make its EMBA financially possible. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis. Therefore, early application is recommended.

The Alumni Grant:

This is a fund set up by our alumni in support of applicants who have the potential to succeed, yet lack the financial ability. All Ivey EMBA applicants are eligible to apply. Grants vary in amount and include some full grants of up to HK$200,000 for candidates with exceptional financial needs.

Scholarship Grants for Civil Service and Nonprofit Leaders:

This is a grant set up for developing leaders in the civil service and nonprofit sector. To qualify, applicants must work in the civil service or at a nonprofit organization focusing on the arts, education, health care, human services, community development, the environment or a related area. Grants vary in amount and may cover up to half of our EMBA program fee.

  • Grants for The University of Western Ontario alumni:
