This case night featured the soon-to-be published case “The Google Manifesto: Candour in Leadership” which is about the infamous and controversial Google internal memo written by James Damore on the company’s diversity programs. The participants explored how the incident unfolded, and discussed the latest themes on managing digital communications, leadership and diversity particularly in the technology sector.
The session was led by the case writer Fernando Olivera, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior, an Ivey faculty member since 1998.
