Case Teaching Taster Workshop

Led by Professor Paul Beamish, a world renowned faculty and a pioneer of Case Teaching from Ivey Business School, this workshop is intended for faculty in academic institutions or corporate training professionals who are eager to adopt the case method in their classrooms and training programs and make their lessons more engaging.

This rewarding forum is intended for academic and corporate training practitioners who would like to know more about the best practices and challenges faced using case teaching method in their classroom and training programs.

Professor Beamish is the Triggs Professor of International Management at Ivey. He has authored 60 books, 135 journal articles and more than 140 case studies. These cases have appeared in Asian Case Research Journal, Case Research Journal and in over 145 books.His cases are among Ivey’s top external sellers each year. He is the recipient of best case writing awards from the European Foundation for Management Development, AIB and ASAC.
Professor Beamish has worked on Asia-specific issues for many years and served as a consultant to The World Bank on technology transfer to China and provided training programs in Asia for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. He has also played a pivotal role in driving, building, and cultivating case teaching and writing capacity among faculty and academia across various universities in China since 1984. He has co-edited six series of casebooks for the China market, and co-authored 44 published cases which focus on China.
